Marketing Assistant, Recovery Assistant, Secretarial Assistant - National Savings Bank


  1. POST OF MARKETING ASSISTANT – I (CONTRACT BASIS)


    Applications are invited from eligible candidates who possess the undermentioned qualifications and experience for the Post of Marketing Assistant – I (Contract Basis) in the National Savings Bank.

    ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
    1.  Candidates should be citizens of Sri Lanka
    2. Educational Qualifications
      Should have passed the GCE (O/L) Examination in one sitting in 06 subjects with 05 Credit Passes including Sinhala Language / Tamil Language and Mathematics 
                                             And 
      Credit Pass for English Language at the GCE (O/L) Examination 
                                             And 
      GCE (A/L) Examination with 03 Passes in one sitting.
    3. Work experience
      A minimum of 02 years experience in Marketing / Sales in a recognized institution. Preference will be given to those who are conversant in all three Languages. 
    4. Age Limit
      Below 30 years
    The applicants should possess a valid license for riding motor cycles.

    NATURE OF DUTIES 

    •  Mobilization of deposits and sale of banking products as per the targets set by the Bank.
    • Gathering market information.
    • Organizing savings promotion activities in the area for Branch / Postal Banking Branch and taking follow up action.
    • Improve relationship with Post Offices and conduct awareness programmes in rural sector.
    TERMS OF APPOINTMENT 



    Selected candidates will be employed as Marketing Assistant- I on contract basis for a period of 02 years and will be required to serve in the assigned Branch during this period. Those who successfully complete the two year contract period will be considered for absorption into the Bank’s permanent cadre based on the performance.

  2. POST OF RECOVERY ASSISTANT – I (CONTRACT BASIS)

    ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS


    1.  Candidates should be citizens of Sri Lanka
    2. Educational Qualifications 
      Should have passed the GCE (O/L) Examination in one sitting in 06 subjects with 05 Credit Passes including Mathematics
    3. Work experience 
      A minimum of 05 years experience in the field of recoveries in a Financial Institution. 
    4. Age Limit 
      Below 30 years
    The applicants should possess a valid license for riding motor cycles.

    NATURE OF DUTIES
    • Assisting to achieve recovery targets given by the Management
    • Scheduling field visits in order to follow-up on customers to recover loans fallen into arrears
    • Study actual reasons for defaulting and provide relevant information to the Management
    • Negotiate with customers and establish methodologies to recover the loan arrears
    • Attending any other duties entrusted by the Management
    SPECIAL SKILLS
    •  Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills

  3. POST OF SECRETARIAL ASSISTANT (ENGLISH) (CONTRACT BASIS)

    Applications are invited from eligible candidates who possess the undermentioned qualifications and experience for the Post of Secretarial Assistant (English) - Contract Basis in the National Savings Bank.

     ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

    1. Candidates should be citizens of Sri Lanka  
    2. Educational/Professional Qualifications 
      • Should have passed minimum of 06 subjects at the GCE O/L Examination including credit pass for Language and English in one sitting
        AND
      • Minimum one year National Certificate in Secretarial Practice (English medium) offered by Government Technical College 
        OR
      • Minimum one year Certificate of Proficiency in Skilled Craftsman in the trade of Personal Secretary (English Medium) offered by National Apprenticeship and Industrial Training Authority (NAITA)  
      • Speed ;
        Typewriting – 40 w.p.m
         OR 
        Computer Typing – 50 w.p.m
         AND
         Shorthand – 80 w.p.m 
      • Competency in Computer Literacy is essential
    3. Work experience 
      Minimum five years experience as a Secretary in a reputed institution preferably in the financial sector
    4. Age Limit 
             Below 45 years
    SPECIAL SKILLS 
    • Possessing a Diploma /Certificate in English (duration of the course should be more than three months) is an added qualification 
    • Preference will be given to those who have the ability to type in Sinhala or Tamil
    MODE OF SELECTION 



    Selection will be done through a Speed Test and an Interview 

    TERMS OF APPOINTMENT 

    The post will be on contract basis for a period of one year. Those who successfully complete the one year contract period will be considered for absorption into the permanent cadre based on the performance. 

    REMUNERATION 

    All inclusive monthly allowance of Rs.45,000/- during the contract period.
